Yes, you read it right! YG Entertainment’s prodigy and runner-up of the first season of ‘KPOP STAR’, Lee Hi, is finally getting her long awaited comeback.
Lee Hi debuted at the end of 2012 with ‘1, 2, 3, 4’ and had her first comeback with ‘It’s Over’ in the beginning of 2013, along with the release of the first part of her album ‘First Love’. The second part of the album came out few weeks later, along with the release of the music video for ‘Rose’.
Ever since then, we haven’t heard so much from Lee Hi. She gave a few interviews, appeared in other seasons of ‘KPOP STAR’ (her performance with the winner of the 4th season, Katie Kim, was breathtaking) and debuted in two sub-units: BOM&HI, with 2NE1’s Park Bom, and HISUHYUN with Akdong Musician’s Suhyun. Recently, she was one of the artists who featured in the pre-release covers of WINNER’s ‘BABY BABY’.
YG kept delaying her comeback and even sent her to Tablo’s agency HIGHGRND so she could receive more attention, but almost a year passed and we still had no comeback news.
However, on Feberuary 14th, YG finally confirmed that Lee Hi’s comeback is scheduled for March. Although an official date hasn’t been announced, it is said that they’re in the final stages of preparing her music video.
Are you excited about Lee Hi’s comeback news? What kind of concept do you think she’ll bring this time? She surely has matured a lot in the past few years, and is no longer that shy girl straight out of ‘KPOP STAR’.
Stay tuned to Officially Kmusic to find out the end of this story!
