Wall Street Journal is now praising YG Entertainment‘s newest artist, Lee Hi, and is calling her “Korea’s Adele.”
The journal featured Lee Hi in an article and wrote about her topping the charts with her debut track “1,2,3,4.” on November 23rd.
The article writes about Lee Hi’s rise as a k-pop idol, starting with SBS talent audition show “K-Pop Star” last April. And also mentioning her signing with YG Entertainment. The list continues with Lee Hi’s “all-kill” status on South Korea’s online music charts with her debut single gaining over 1.3 million downloads. And how she became the first female debut artist to rank first on “Billboard’s K-Pop Hot 100 Charts”.
After her debut “1,2,3,4,” Lee Hi is now promoting her follow-up “Scarecrow.”
