On October 18th, UP10TION‘s LEE JIN HYUK released the music video to his new title track, ‘Work Work’. The track comes off his simultaneously released 4th mini album, ‘Ctrl+V’. Containing six tracks, the title track includes written contributions from the artist himself. This marks the soloist’s return in approximately 6 months since the 3rd EP, ‘SCENE26’, which featured the single, ‘5K’.
Lyrically, the fresh single talks about the difficult balancing act between a work and love life, realistically without being able to juggle both efficiently. Feeling modern, the song incorporates a pop and trap instrumental. Along with the bouncy beat, and funky guitar, the quirky track feels uplifting and light on the ears. This combines with predominantly vocals from the TOP Media group’s rapper. Fitting the swag bars in the bridge, the song feels complete.

LEE JIN HYUK ‘WORK WORK’ MV:
Staring at his phone to an image of a fantasy playground, we see the singer walk onto the set seemingly tired. As staff begin to touch up his clothing and makeup, he points the phone screen at us to transition to the intro of the song. In formation, the various outfits he goes through along with the backup dancers give off a playful and cool vibe. From comfy sweaters, to a shinier dark teal jacket, the ensemble show a carefree choreography. Working in the studio to create new music, a ‘work bear’ passively can’t let him leave his workplace. After hours of finishing, he gets out and actually visits the playground from the beginning. However, with a ‘work bear’ accompanying him everywhere he goes, he can’t truly escape the pressures of work for play.
