The popular couple from “The Heirs” – Lee Min Ho and Park Shin Hye – who are scheduled to appear at the Lotte Duty Free’s “Family Concert with Hallyu Stars” have been sending their requests to the organizers to cancel the event due to the tragic events involving the sunken passenger ship.
The event, scheduled for April 18th, 19th, and 20th at the Jamsil Gymnastic Stadium, is expected to bring a lot of fans from all over the world. That is why the organizers, after listening to the artists’ concerns, stated that it is very difficult to postpone the April 18th event as it involves a foreign audience who have traveled from overseas.
Starhaus Entertainment, Lee Min Ho’s agency, stated, “Even now, at the morning of April 18th, we are strongly requesting Lotte Duty Free to postpone the event. We requested it immediately after the April 16th ferry incident. It looks that Lotte Duty Free has canceled the events on April 19th and 20th, however, Lotte said that the April 18th event is difficult to change because of the foreign audience. We are still requesting that the event be postponed and are waiting for a reply.”
S.A.L.T Entertainment, home to Park Shin Hye, said, “We’ve requested for the event to be postponed until the late hours of April 17th. It’s not that we don’t understand Lotte Duty Free’s situation, but with the entire nation grieving over this tragedy, it’s also difficult for us to attend such an event. We’re still discussing this matter.”
The entire nation has been greiving after the tragic accident involving a passenger ferry that happened on April 16th. As of April 18th, 25 people are dead, 179 have been saved, and 271 are still missing.
