For this week’s “Let Me KPop a Question” segment here at Officially KMusic, I would like to talk about the artists, or groups, for whose comebacks we have been waiting long enough for.
First group that comes to my mind is WE. Never heard of them? Well, no wonder, since they have released only one mini-album back in November 2011. What’s more, if you try to type the names of their songs, “Party” and “Rainy Days,” on YouTube, there is a very little chance you will find what you are looking for. There have been rumors that the group has actually disbanded, but nothing has been confirmed as of yet. If that really is the case – K-Pop has lost one of the few co-ed groups that could have actually made it work.
“Party”
“Rainy Days”
If it wasn’t for Daniel‘s controversy with marijuana, DMTN would probably have already made a comeback. However, there is still no news about their return, and the last song they released, “Safety Zone”, came out in January 2013. In my opinion, Daniel has already reflected enough on his actions, and DMTN’s fans deserve a comeback as good as their last one.
Still remember RaNia? It is hard to believe that it has already been eight months since the group’s last release with the track “UP.” The group was trying to reach the US music industry and worked with Britney Spear‘s manager, but looks like we will have to wait for the results of this collaboration a little bit longer.
Am I the only one who is missing Wonder Boyz? It has been ten months without a song from them. Their last release, “Tarzan,” received a lot of attention and praise from fans all over the world. I am sure they would have no trouble to repeat the succes of “Tarzan”, if they would only just make a comeback.
Even though the members of ZE:A have been focusing on their individual activities, I would like to see them finally working together again. Their “Ghost of the Wind” song was released in August 2013 and fans have already started to miss them. Well, I have at least.
Fans of Shinhwa are probably anticipating something from the group as well, even though member Minwoo recently released a solo album. Many fans may think, “Girl! I have waited four years for them to be back as a group! I am patient,” but it’s their comeback songs that really leave listeners craving for more and more. Shinhwa’s “This Love” was released in May 2013 – to celebrate their 15th anniversary. Following their previous actions, we might be seeing them making a comeback soon, as the group is about to reach their 16th year in the music industry.
Question – where is Jang Woo Hyuk?! It has been two long years without hearing from him. Even though “Back to the Memories” is a very good song, I want to finally see more from him.
Is NU’EST still sleeping? Because it has been seven months since the release of “Sleep Talking.” Quoting the lyrics: “Where are you? Do you know how I feel? I’m getting so frustrated you don’t understand.”
Whose comeback are you waiting for? Let us know in the comments below!
