Woolim Entertainment‘s first girl group, Lovelyz, is getting close to debut, and to give the fans a bit of what to expect, the girls have released a pre-debut MV for the single, “Good Night Like Yesterday.”
This pre-debut single is a tearful ballad, in which the girls showcase their vocal talents in perfect harmony. The song was composed by OnePiece, a producer group of musicians that includes SPACE COWBOY, DAVINK, East4A and Yoon Sang.
This group focuses on creating ballads for girls, and this song tried to represent teenage heartbreak. The lyrics were written by Kim Ena, and they surely fit the melody.
Lovelyz definitely surprised everyone with their vocal abilities, which are incredible for rookies. Also, despite the cute concept of the group, they all look very mature in the music video as they feel the vibe of the song. Infinite‘s Sunggyu also stars in the MV, giving you one more reason to watch it.
If you’re looking for a reference, the video may be a mix of Lee Hi‘s “Rose” and 2NE1‘s “Missing You,” while the song reminds of A-Pink‘s various ballads and Girl’s Day‘s “I Miss You.”
Please watch this wonderful music video:
So, what’s your first impression of the girls? Are you excited for their debut?
Lovelyz’ album “Girls’ Invasion” will be out on November 17th, so make sure you stay tuned to find out more about these “lovely” girls!
