On September 9th, boy group LUMINOUS debuted with their music video for ‘RUN’. This was accompanied with their 1st mini album, ‘Youth’ comprising of the B-side ‘Home Alone’ and the instrumentals of the two aforementioned tracks. Originally known as DS Boys pre-debut, the group planned to debut in 2019 under DS Entertainment. However, due to internal issues, the debut was cancelled. The quartet (Youngbin, Suil, Steven, Woobin) then dropped a pre-debut EP, ‘Luminous Dreaming’ in August this year under Brunson WIP Entertainment. Two years after the original slated debut, the boy group have finally begun their idol careers.
Lyrically, the discusses the hardships of achieving your dreams, thus having to run to overcome aversities to do what you want. Instrumentally, the track features a lowkey booming electronic drum and trap beat to chug the track along. An extended high note after the bridge highlights well amongst the relatively sparse backing. Although the track might not bang as hard as others typically seen in K-Pop, it sets itself into a cool cruising groove.

The majority of the MV showcases the performance aspects, with the four members paired with backup dancers in an industrial looking set. The dance routine looks complex and completely in-sync as the members show their trained expertise.
