A middle aged man died following a heart attack after dancing to Psy’s hit “Gangnam Style” at his office Chrismas party in England.
The deceased, Eamonn Kilbride (46), an IT manager at Thwaites brewery, collapsed after performing dance moves of the song. After failed attempts to resuscitate him, he was rushed to Royal Blackburn Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. Coroner’s report pointed that Kilbride died from acute heart failure, a condition exacerbated by vigorous exercise.
The incident occurred at an office party held at Whitehall Country Club in Darwen, Lancashire on December 8. His wife Julie Kilbride was present at the party and also celebrating her birthday.
Eamonn Kilbride left behind his wife and three children aged 22, 21 and 18 respectively.
