The CGV Centum City held the 18th Annual Busan International Film Festival where numerous stars showed up to promote their films. One of whom, which includes MBLAQ’s Lee Joon.
The singer turned actor discussed with Guest Visit (GV) about his latest film ‘Rough Play’. The film was chosen to show under the Korean Cinema Today – Panorama category.
Lee Joon discussed the films dialogue in which he ad-libbed in some scenes. He stated “There were some ad-libs in the movie, but in scenes where I had a lot of lines, I didn’t include any.” He added, “I actually ad-libbed a rough line during one of the bed scenes, saying, ‘If you’re sorry, then do it,which caught a lot of people’s attention”.
The films director Shin Yeon Sik, commented,“He really cherishes his ad-libs, trying to throw them in even during post-sync recording.” He joked, “I was going to edit it out, but because he liked it so much, I just left it.”
The director also stated the actors method for pulling off such as one of the many intense scene’s in the movie. Lee Joon actually spent an entire day naked shooting the bed scene numerous times. Joon’s intensity reflects the amount of time invested through out ‘Rough Play’.
‘Rough Play’ tells the story of Oh Young’s rise to stardom. From a struggling actor to an ‘A-List’ actor, he allows it to get to his head and his downfall from there,which follows 2008’s ‘Rough Cut’.
This is Lee Joon’s first titled role. The film cast concludes Yang Dong Geun, Seo Young Hee, and Kim Hyung Joon. ‘Rough Play’ hits theaters October 24th so don’t miss it!
