MBLAQ’s youngest member, Mir, recently unveiled an emotional diary entry reflecting on his trip visit to Rwanda.
The singer recently visited the country to participate in humanitarian work which he has long been passionate about. The posting, which also included pictures from the trip, summed up his experiences. Mir wrote, “I went there with the intention to help villagers. However, I was the one who received help through healing by seeing innocent and sincerity in little children.”
Mir’s trip to Rwanda will be seen in an MBC documentary program called “KOICA’s Dream”. Actress Yoon Se Ha and 2PM member Taecyeon will also appear in the documentary. Mir has taken part KOICA (Korean International Cooperation Agency) activities for three years now. Prior to Rwanda, Mir also went to Peru with G.O and Vietnam with Seungho. Originally, the MBLAQ maknae was scheduled to be in Rwanda on September 25 until October 9, but his schedule was pushed a little later due to his hectic schedule.
In his diary entry, Mir described how he helped a village community through various activities such as the installation of a ground pipe and removal of rocks and other obstacles. He also shared his heart-tugging moment while giving village members haircuts. “While I was giving a child a haircut, some hair clippings went into my mouth. The child saw this and brought over an interpreter to tell me that she was sorry. When I witnessed the child’s concern for me, I started to cry.”
