St.319 are a Vietnamese dance group, that gained international popularity through their K-Pop dance covers. It also houses the singer, MIN, and rapper Mr. A.
St.319 was established in 2011 with two members, and has grown to over 20. They’ve won numerous awards, and even had the opportunity to stand upon the same stage as 2NE1.
The group’s name comes from the area code for the state of Iowa in the US, which is known as “America’s Heartland.” “Just as Iowa is the heart of the US, IOWAs (St.319 fans) are the heart of St.319.”
I first stumbled upon this group with their dance cover of BoA‘s “Only One.” The female lead is played by MIN, while the male lead is played by Cường 7, who is not a member of St.319, but a popular dancer and singer who features in a lot of pop videos.
This next video is their cover of Apink‘s “Mr. Chu,” which stars three of their newest members at the time, Sam, Kylie, and Ollie.
This is their cover of Super Junior‘s “Sexy, Free and Single,” which they recorded for a dance cover contest specifically for this song and won. (No dance member names given)
Here is their dance cover for B.A.P‘s “One Shot.” (No dance member names given)
Last but not least is my favorite dance cover, their cover of Red Velvet‘s “Happiness.” This stars dancers Jenny, Ria, Liz and one of their newest members, Mia.
