Gong Minji successfully concludes her first official solo event after her departure with girl group, 2NE1.
On August 13th, Minzy enjoyed a close gathering with about 40 fans at the Private Cinema in Cheongdam Cine City. The meeting was about an hour long and was broadcasted live via Naver V App for fans who couldn’t attend it. 
The artist prepared various gifts for her fans and the fans also had prepared a cake for Minzy herself congratulating her upcoming comeback; this would be her first comeback in about two and a half years. The cake was covered with a figurine shaped after her new profile photos which was released along with the launch of her official Facebook page on July 25th, 2016.
Minzy says, “This is my first step. I want to be with you all when I go forward until my 100th – 1,000th fan meeting. I am so happy, let’s stay together.”
Henceforth the fan meeting, Minzy uploaded a group photo with an affectionate caption saying, “This might as well be a family picture. Hehe. Love you! Thank you ❤️always❤️ #minzys1stfanmeeting Thanks for coming today???? My Angels????Hope you guys liked it! I love you????”
