JTBC and YG Entertainment‘s survival show, ‘Mix Nine‘ has confirmed that they have sent home 71 contestants during their first elimination round.
Producers of the show revealed that “A total of 71 had experienced the bitterness of the first elimination round. Thus, out of the 170 contestants, there is only 99 left moving on to the second round.”
The first round of online voting concluded on December 3rd. The final rankings were determined from their scores during the showcase mission and the position battle, as well as the special benefits for the winning teams. Also, the 71 contestants are a mix of male and females and so gender did not matter during this time. Therefore, there may be an unequal number of male and female contestants left in the show.
It was also revealed that the final debuting team will be going on an overseas tour starting in April 2018. They will be traveling to 15 different cities in Asia, North America, South America, Europe and more. With more requests coming in, it is expected that the number will be increased to 22-30 cities.
