Next on the list is, you guessed it, my choice for the best choreography. While Karen chose BoA and Leigh chose Infinite, I picked the group that got me started with K-Pop.
The first song I ever learned the dance to; SHINee‘s ‘Lucifer‘! Now keep in mind, since all of SHINee’s dances are pretty iconic in some way and they are such amazing dancers, it was really hard to choose which one of them would win, but since this song holds a special place in my heart above the rest, ‘Lucifer’ won the competition.
Although it isn’t of the best quality, you can still enjoy their dance practice video below!
Ah, this video brings back so many good memories. I can’t tell you how many times I had to watch this video before I actually got 85% of the choreography down. And that was before I understood the concept of having to do the moves backwards since the practice video wasn’t mirrored so I had to relearn it all doing it in the opposite direction.
I picked SHINee because, in my opinion, they are one of the best dance groups in K-Pop, followed by Infinite, Teen Top, and BTS. They always have either complicated or just plain freakin’ awesome dance moves and yet they can still sing perfectly during live stages.
Stay tuned for my last editor’s choice article, my pick for best costumes in a K-Pop music video!
