The movie “10 Minutes” was recognized during the 17th Shanghai International Film Festival as it received the Jury Prix Award.
The festival was held on June 22nd and movies from nine countries were fighting for the Jury Prix Award, which is chosen by the board of judges. The list of countries with movies in the festival included Korea, China, Thailand, Iran, India, and Japan. Lee Yong Seung, the director of “10 Minutes” attended the event and received the award himself.
“10 Minutes” tells the story of Kang Ho Chan (Baek Jong Hwan) who is preparing for his dream job as a TV station producer. However, as he keeps on failing to get the job, he decides to get a part-time job at a government office. After one of his co-workers resigns, Kang Ho Chan is offered a permanent position. While he is hesitating if he should accept the offer and give up on his dreams, the position is taken by someone else. Ho Chan is left without a job and without plans for the future.
