MXM (a.k.a. Brand New Boys) has just released a new performance video for ‘Checkmate.’ ‘Checkmate‘ is one of their title tracks from their first album ‘More Than Ever‘; the other one is ‘YA YA YA.’ ‘More Than Ever‘ contains 14 original tracks, including songs composed by Wanna One‘s Lee Daehwi. Daehwi is also under Brand New Music. It was released on August 14th.

Donghyun and Youngmin look classy as they are all dressed up in black-and-white checkered suits. This fits the chess concept that they went for in the official MV for ‘Checkmate‘. They are clearly the center of attention as the rest of the back-up dancers wear plain black suits. The duo exhibit amazing performance skills as they engage viewers by making eye contact with the camera. Their choreography for this song is impressive, and the song is upbeat and catchy.
