If you aren’t familiar with the fabulous and fierce boys of N.O.M, (not to be confused with the group No Other Man, which has the same abbreviation) you are in for a real eye-opener!
The group first hit the K-Pop scene with their first single and music video, “A Guys,” which many have cheekily dubbed, “the gayest video in K-pop.” The boys strutted their stuff in skin-tight pants, high heels, and tiny little vests, topping it all off with flashy marching band hats. It was definitely ground-breaking, as the homoerotic themes presented in the video and their flamboyant styles are not concepts that Korea is generally accepting of. They are the first group of their kind, and are back in action to shake things up again!
This new music video, “Slow and Sure,” is just as ‘out there’ as the first, and much to my relief, the boys are as fierce as ever. Clad in glittery suits paired with thigh-high boots, the guys kick up their heels and show off not only their smooth moves, but their incredible bodies as well. The theme is rather morbid, showing flashes of scenes with a bride, sometimes she appears to be dead, sometimes a doll, sometimes alive yet downtrodden. See if you can decipher the message N.O.M is trying to present and check out the full video below:
And, if you haven’t had the distinct pleasure of viewing the “A Guys” music video, feel free to give it a look as well. My friends and I actually use this video as kind of initiation of sorts into our local K-Pop group; if you hang out with us, you are immediately forced to watch it! Once you’ve seen it, you will have no doubts as to why…..
So, what do you think of N.O.M and their new video, “Slow and Sure?” They’re quite a sight, aren’t they? We here at Officially KMusic look forward to seeing what these boys come up with next. Stay tuned for more updates!
