NCT Dream will be heading on a world tour this year, with stops in the U.S. to take place in April. Beginning on the east coast in New Jersey, the tour will take the boy group west through Illinois, Georgia, Texas, and California, before finishing off in Washington. Although brother group NCT 127 has toured in the states before, this will be NCT Dream’s first tour.
NCT Dream first debuted in 2016 with their song “Chewing Gum” as the third NCT unit to be introduced. Composed of the younger members of NCT, the group’s concept was originally to be a graduation system, with members graduating as they became older. Due to overwhelming demand by fans, known as NCTzens, however, the group’s lineup became a permanent one in 2020. The group had their first U.S. appearance at last year’s KCON in Los Angeles, and their recent album, Glitch Mode, became their first to chart on the Billboard 200, debuting at number 50. Their most recent release was a remake of H.O.T.’s “Candy,” and was released as a winter special in December of last year.
