On December 9th, rotational sub-unit NCT U released the music video teaser to their upcoming title track, ‘Universe (Let’s Play Ball)’. As the group works on switching the members within the greater NCT lineup, every single released under the name will feature different people. This track will include members Doyoung, Jungwoo, Mark, Xiaojun, Jeno, Haechan, Jaemin, YangYang, and Shotaro. Furthermore, this track will only be the only promoted single. It comes as part of the NCT 2021 project which includes the 3rd album, ‘Universe’, featuring all members of the group. Hence, there will be double title tracks this time with the other being ‘Beautiful’ featuring the 22 strong ensemble.
So far, the group have release various track teasers for a few songs included within the album. Ultimately, it will contain a total of 13 tracks. This follows their October 2020 album, ‘NCT 2020 Resonance’ which featured the whole lineup. Performance wise, these full comebacks are always a spectacle to see as so many take to the stage as one.
