On November 29th, SM STATION 3 released their first track of the series. It is the collaboration MV for ‘Coffee Break‘ by Lucas from NCT and Jonah Nilsson from Dirty Loops. The track also features Richard Bona, a Cameroonian jazz bassist. Check it out below!
‘Coffee Break’ MV:
The MV takes place on a set of a film or TV show of some sort. Lucas and a girl play the main roles. Throughout the MV, Lucas seems to be flirting with the girl featured. While they are getting their makeup done, they often glance at each other. Jonah is also getting his makeup done. Even when he is trying to interact with the girl through a TV screen, the staff members get annoyed at him. At the end of the MV, Lucas and the girl enjoy a cup of coffee together as he acts like a gentleman towards her.
The song is a mixture of Korean and English, with Lucas rapping in Korean while Jonah sings in English. Lucas also shows off his flashy dance moves on set. Jonah has an amazing vocal range, which he effectively displays in this collaboration. During the bridge, Jonah also executes an impressive performance on the piano.
‘Coffee Break‘ is the first track released for SM STATION 3. We can expect more music in the coming future. There is a high chance that the next track could be a collaboration between an SM artist and a Western artist.
