Vocal Performers:
4N
Members: Isabella Peralta and Eric Regalado
The duo is young musicians from Sydney and Brisbane respectively. They developed as a duo in 2016 and since then, despite their distance, have recorded covers and grown even more passionate about music.
GLOSS
Members: Angela Johnston, Geneva Schofield, Heather Riley
GLOSS made their debut at the Sydney finals of the 2017 KPOP World Festival in the Dance Category. Geneva, Heather and Angela all met at university whilst completing their acting degrees, and have years of singing and dance experience between them. Since their debut, they have performed at multiple events including KCC’s End of Year Party as well as GLOSS member Geneva placing third at the KCON singing competition. GLOSS is beyond excited to journey from their hometown of Sydney to take on the Vocal Category in Melbourne.
Yasmin
With an accounting major and blue belt in Taekwondo, Yasmin is probably the reincarnation of every Korean eomma’s dream – despite having no Korean heritage. Since discovering the world of K-Pop in 2012 through her sister, Yasmin has fully embraced every aspect of K-POP stardom and musicianship: from fashion to rap, to high tempo choreography, and stirring up the crowd to join in with her love for K-POP.
Some of her previous appearances at K-Pop festivals have been:
⁃ 2015 & 2016 K-Pop World Festival Finalist
⁃ 2016 So You Think You Can K-Pop event contestant
⁃ 2016 Top 5 Contestant in K-Pop Bootcamp Sydney, Australia
This year, she hopes that she can show a new side of her to showcase a great performance and have a good day with everyone!
Theodora Harjianto
Theodora is 24 years old and originally from Indonesia. She started her journey as a K-POP fan around 2009. Since she loves to sing, she will make cover videos and upload them to YouTube. With the friends she met through the platform, they decided to form a K-POP singing cover group for fun called, Tea Party Project. You can check their channel here! She listens to all songs from all kinds of groups and singers. However, her favourite is the one and only, VIXX!
She has performed quite a few times at various K-POP related events, such as:
– Indonesia preliminary round of 2009 Changwon Kpop World Festival (finalist)
– Kpop Singing Contest 2016 held by the Korean Culture Centre in Sydney (finalist)
– 2017 Lunar New Year Festival hosted by SBS PopAsia in Melbourne (guest performer)
– Melbourne preliminary round of 2017 Changwon Kpop World Festival (finalist)
– Deakin University’s 2017 So You Think You Can Kpop? (guest performer)
– 2018 SummerFest hosted by Monash University (guest performer)
Ha Loung
She is a student majoring in Korean studies. She is also a History & East-Asian Culture enthusiast. Finally, she labels herself as an amateur singer and a garbler of Korean!
Landa Jia
Her name is Landa and she is a singer, a student at Monash University and an influencer from Melbourne, Australia. She’s known K-POP since around 2013, however, was never super into it until recently, where binge watching YouTube music videos and Instagram covers was a big influence. Some of her current favourite groups/singers include BTS, Ailee and BlackPink. She is super stoked about this opportunity as she has in the past, watched some of the previous year’s performances yet never actually imagined that she, herself, would end up applying. This year is thus her first time performing at the K-pop world festival, as well as my first time learning and performing a full song in Korean! So she genuinely hopes you enjoy her performance! You can find out more about her on her Instagram!

BYS Schuwagger
Members: Xu Shen Yeoh, Jannie Huynh, Simon Kong, Quang Nguyen, Michael Dahlin, Shu Won, Debbie Zheng, Hanna Liang
BYS, short for BackYard studio started out by a group of people sharing the same passion for dance and K-POP. The members have met through attending the same dance studio every week and eventually started out their own dance group while attending a friend’s BBQ in his backyard. There was a giant mirror in his garage where everyone can all come together and share dance moves and that is how BYS got their name.
BYS was founded in early 2014 and had bonded well in their very first competition entrance in the “KPOP WORLD COMPETITION” in that same year. In 2016 the group had recruited two new members and has since been continuing dance cover activities and performed at a number of K-POP and cultural events around Melbourne including The Victorian Multicultural Festival and Chinese new year Festivals.
The dance style and outfits they incorporate are inspired by the fashion-forward trends and the multi-pop of colours of the Korean pop genre. The members of the group commit to rehearsal at least once a week on top of their busy work schedules and their dancers share the same motivation of making sure they deliver a fun and enthusiastic performance for the audience of different ages.
Paradox
Members: Tarn Buasuwan, Wai Yan Venus Cheung, Dianne Fatima Lazarus, Si Mone Liew, Melissa Luu Luu
Paradox is a group of friends and Korean music fans who have come together with the goal of expanding their dance experience and skills by always trying new styles. Like their name Paradox, they want to challenge what it means to be a cover group by being ever-changing in the projects they take on. When they are not being crazy and laughing at rehearsals, they enjoy bubble tea runs and chats over fried chicken!
Aurora Dance Crew
Members: Ashley Camryn Ilagan, Connie (Zhiyue) Yang, Leanne (Lai) Kinyan, Madeline Anne Ting Kuok Chen, Thanda Zaw, Veronica Cheung, Yizhi Xiao (Yico)
A Melbourne based group, Aurora Dance Crew, was formed in 2018. Brought together by a love for dance, K-POP, and the opportunity to perform for the K-Pop World Festival, Aurora hopes to bring their best efforts to the stage.
Hustle
Members: Kristie Ho, Natalie Lim, Natalie Koh, Rani Susilo, Kay Wong, Susanna Huang, Nancy Tran
Hustle always enjoy covering many different K-POP dances and have been doing covers for nearly 3 years. They have performed at numerous K-POP events throughout the years – most notably the Asia Pop Fest in 2017, where they performed in the same event as K-POP superstar, Ailee.

I AM Crew
They are a group that was established in April 2016. Every member of the group is different and unique in their own way. This allows them to show their slight ‘Be Yourself’ flavour and thus this was where their name came to be. On top of that, they mainly base their routines around K-POP. Be sure to follow them on YouTube and Facebook!

Be-7 Dance Crew
