Highlight‘s Lee Gikwang, WINNER‘s Lee Seung Hoon and Hoya (Lee Howon) are set to join the team of new dance variety program ‘Dancing High‘.
The three performers will be joining Just Jerk and Lia Kim as dance coaches on the show and sharing their dance expertise, with each coach bringing their own personal flair and experience.
‘Dancing High‘ is a new program that aims to discover the best teenage dancers from Korea. It is the first program of its type in Korea and it is planned that each episode will feature competitors taking each other on in dance battles.
A representative from the show stated, “We feel confident as Lee Gikwang, Lee Howon, and Lee Seung Hoon will be joining Just Jerk and Lia Kim as dance coaches. We hope you will look forward to seeing how each of the coaches will lead these teens with their distinct individualities as well as the passionate teens themselves.”
During pre-broadcast interviews with the producers, Lee Gikwang, Hoya, and Lee Seung Hoon shared their personal philosophies when it comes to dance.
Emphasizing the importance of practice, Lee Gikwang commented, “I want to meet teen dancers who approach dance with sincerity and earnestly try hard with the goal of winning.”
Hoya expressed, “I wish to help teens who are beginning their dance [journey] find the direction they should go in.”
Recalling how he practiced on the streets as a teen, Lee Seung Hoon said, “I want to create ‘an eye-opening opportunity’ for them to improve their skills.”, he added, “It feels a lot like I am appearing as a YG representative.”

The show is still accepting applications from potential participants.
‘Dancing High‘ is expected to premiere in September.
