The always titillating John Park returns after a year, with new music video for “U.”
The music video uses colors and filters to tell the story, and shows Mr. Park engaging in various nefarious activities throughout the entire clip. The music video is just perfect for the song, and, as one of my friends put it, “I had goosebumps with in the first 10 seconds.”
Vocal-wise it is a good song. It’s dark, moody, with a hint of sinister to it, and a feeling like at any second things are about to go crazy. Make sure you check out the English lyrics to the song, it will change the way you listen to it. This is another one of those cases where I’d love to tell you all about the song and music video, but I don’t want to ruin the surprise!
John Park said sound-wise the song is based on “UK pop songs.” I guess it makes sense, but does not match my initial perception of it. What did you think of the song and music video?
