The guys of Nu’est, via their official YouTube channel, released what has to be the most creative video thus far of 2015. Narrated entirely in English by Aron, the video the proclamation is made that a secret about the group is about to be revealed. That secret is “We Are Killers.” The guys put together an excellent parody of the Kdrama “The Healer.”
Check out the video for yourself below below.
At 7 minutes and 3 seconds into the video, the guys take us on a very “tongue in cheek” K-Drama like introduction of the members of Nu’est were we learn the roles they play and their special skills. It begins with JR aka Oneshot One Kill. We see him wondering the street with a pistol in his hand as the music plays in the background.
Next up is Minhyun aka “Nice Fingers”, the master hacker and information gatherer of the group. He is in a dark room banging away on his keyboard.
Aron aka “Delivery Man”, buys the items needed for the mission. He is also a self proclaimed master of disguise, be sure to check out the 2 minute mark were he put on a very convincing act as a tree. But the best part is the added “yeah buddy” at the end.
Back lit in purple Ren aka “Einstein” is the groups weapons developer, scientist, potions master. I am sure Professor Snape would be so proud right now.
Baekho aka “Tiger” is the groups muscle and power of will guy for the group. His intro piece is probably the strangest as he only gets to wonder round with a box. Which makes him look more like the groups moving guy but hey who knows.
The last scene is JR returning to the dorm to find toys all over the floor and having a conversation with a person off camera. While Minhyun prows around the fan café, they cut to Aron who meets up with JR and makes a delivery. Ren then puts his science skills to use and makes dinner. That’s fine with me I understand there is science in food. Last but not least Baekho finally gets to deliver his box that he has been carrying around.
Fans are then treated to a final message “We Are Healers.” What all this means? I have no idea. Nu’est has what I feel to be one of the most loyal fan bases in all of KPOP. Despite the fact that they belong to a smaller label which has never had the money to properly promote the group, the band never gives up. Fans are hoping this is just a warm up before we finally see a comeback. Until that time, check out their classic music video “Face” until the guys come back.
