To show their respects for the SEWOL tragedy, Arirang’s “After School Club” will be focusing their upcoming episode on these events and allowing fans to show their support.
As stated on their official Twitter, ASC will be pre-recorded for the April 29th and 30th episodes, and will escape from their usual format by discussing the incident with viewers from around the world and allowing them to share their feelings and support or the families and victims. Fans are encouraged to send in feature messages, poems, pictures, songs, etc., and they will be presented on the air. ASC will be focusing on the positive aspect of this tragedy, which is the outpouring of love being sent from K-Pop fans around the world. Oftentimes, international fans feel left out as they are unable to show their support directly, and ASC views this as an opportunity for these fans to do that, as well as connect with fans in Korea.
Check out the Tweet below for more on how to participate, and be sure to view the episode at it’s usual time slot of 1PM KST.
