The close friendship between Nicole and SHINee‘s Key is well-known by their fans. It is well-known that he was one of her strongest supporters after her decision to leave KARA and stay away from the music scene while she focused on her solo career.
However, it seems that Key has been way more personally supportive than we thought, since Nicole recently talked about how important his help was for her solo debut.
During her debut showcase, when asked about who had helped her the most with her album, she said, “SHINee′s Key continuously discussed it with me and helped me from the side. His fashion sense is really good and his stage presence is also great. Whether it was about the stage or about fashion, he discussed a lot with me and was a great help.”
Although Key was probably the most important part in this process, he wasn’t the only artists who helped her. Nicole also said, “Eric Nam and SPICA are also in the same agency as I am, but I′ve known them from before, so they helped a lot in terms of the vocals.”
When asked about Infinite‘s Dongwoo, who features in one of her tracks, she said, “He′s an oppa that I′ve been close to since a long time ago, and I joking asked him to feature in my album. Honestly, we were playing a game, and he lost, so he featured in my album.”
