After a long awaited return, Nu’est is back with their fourth mini-album ‘Q is.’ Having just finished their Japanese promotions and tour for ‘Bridge The World’, the five members as Pledis Entertainment’s senior boy group have released the music video for ‘여왕의 기사 (Overcome)’.
Pledis has had their hands full with their newest rookie group, Seventeen, so it was a concern on when Nu’est would return. Thankfully, earlier this month, the Nu’est Facebook page was all abuzz with new images of Minhyun, Ren, Aron, Baekho, and JR which got L.O.ㅅ.Es excited for their favourite band to grace the Korean stages after a year and seven months.
The new video shows a much more mature masculine side of Nu’est with darker imagery and dramatic new looks. The lyrics speak of the men coming to the rescue of the woman they love no matter what the outcome because she means so much to them. Facing any obstacle, you can see that the members would tackle anything including the coldest of hearts. The song is a soft R&B ballad with faster beats to give it a Pop kick to it. Check it out below!
The song is just one piece of the bigger picture as the album’s tracks are pieced together like a puzzle to tell a complete story. Baekho contributed in the album’s production while the other members assisted in songwriting.
I will be adding ‘Q is.’ to my list of albums to love this year and can’t wait to see what else they have in store for us. What are your thoughts on the new music from Nu’est? Let us know!
