Wanna One has officially disbanded – that means Hwang Minhyun will return to his original group NU’EST soon! In 2017, four members – Baekho, JR, Ren and Minhyun – competed on the second season of ‘Produce 101‘ after it was revealed that NU’EST were on the verge of disbandment. They had not been performing well as a group, so Pledis Entertainment had stated that appearing on ‘Produce 101‘ would be their last chance. Even though all four contestants made it to the top 20, only Minhyun had made the final cut. Nevertheless, when NU’EST W returned to the music scene, they were met with success. Since then, they have become more popular and successful not only in Korea but around the world.
Since Minhyun is returning, NU’EST W will conclude their unit activities. They have released an epilogue video to announce their return as a full group. Check it out below!
Epilogue:
At the beginning, we can hear four footsteps, symbolising the four current members of the group. As the door opens, we are shown to a dark room. Outside, there is a single yellow flower tucked in the consoles of a car. In other settings that have one singular flower each, each flower is picked up by (seemingly) a different member. The flowers are assembled together in a vase in the room that we first saw when the door opened. At the end, a fifth flower is added to the vase, which represents Minhyun‘s return to the group. Similarly, we can hear five footsteps at the end. Now, the group has five members once again.
