Lately there have been a lot of rumors about 4MINUTE‘s possible disbandment, especially after Hyuna renewed her contract, leaving the other members to make their own choices. But, now it’s official; members Gayoon, Jiyoon, Sohyun and Jihyun will not be renewing their contracts with CUBE Entertainment which confirms the disbandment of the group.
According to CUBE, “The contracts of Jihyun, Gayoon, Sohyun and Jiyoon have ended on June 14th. All four members thought for a long time if they should renew their contracts or not. At last, they decided not to renew it and, therefore, will leave Cube Entertainment.‘
It’s sad to see a group disbanding after so many year, especially right now when so many famous groups are coming to an end or losing some members. However, we must keep supporting the members in their new paths, as well as Hyuna‘s solo career. We must also remember that the girls haven’t decided anything yet, so there’s still a chance that they will continue as a four member group in another company.
4MINUTE debuted in 2009 with ‘Hot Issue‘ and their last release was the 7th mini-album ‘Act. 7‘, with the title song ‘Hate‘. Let’s watch both music videos in order to see how much they’ve grown as artists in these past seven years:
