Onew’s Middle Finger During Broadcast Becomes a Hot Topic

On March 18th, SHINee has appeared as guests on MBC FM radio “Younha’s Star Shining Night” but this time, instead of their speech, it’s Onew‘s gesture what receives the biggest attention.

Before the broadcast began, Onew showed the middle finger to other SHINee members sitting across from him, not realizing an online streaming was already happening.

SM Entertainment has later admitted that it was Onew who showed his middle finger. The agency stated: “Onew was playing around with the other members before the broadcast began and it was captured on video. There was no negative intention and was merely a joke, which is why he is also very shocked himself.”

The agency concluded: “Onew is very apologetic and self-reflecting over his action. We promise to make sure something like this does not happen again.”
