Block B‘s maknae P.O has made his solo debut!
The music video for P.O‘s first solo release ‘Men’z Night‘ has arrived! Check it out below!
Featuring R&B singer Chancellor, ‘Men’z Night‘ is described by P.O as belonging to the ‘city punk’ genre. The song is a fun, upbeat track that doesn’t take itself too seriously. P.O‘s husky rapping voice contrasts nicely with Chancellor‘s smooth vocals. The track’s pre-chorus heavily synthesises Chancellor‘s voice in a similar style to that heard in Daft Punk‘s hit song ‘Around the World‘. The chorus itself also makes use of this sound, whilst still showcasing both P.O and Chancellor‘s unaltered voices. Thanks to its funky backing music, the chorus of ‘Men’z Night‘ achieves an ’80s style sound.
The ‘Men’z Night‘ music video is evidently intended to fun to watch above all else. Scenes in which P.O and Chancellor wear classy suits are intercut with clips of the pair goofing around in cowboy hats in a boxing ring. The music video also makes use of some very impressive 80s style visual effects to create a fun atmosphere.
