On October 28th, soloist PARK JIHOON came back with his new music video for ‘Serious’. Acting as the title track to the 5th mini album, ‘Hot & Cold’, the EP contains a total of six tracks including an intro which has been a tradition since his 1st full album, ‘Message’ in 2020. This return marks a rapid return from the former WANNA ONE member. Only recently releasing his 4th EP, ‘My Collection’ in August, this 2 month turnaround certainly surprised many, but all the power for more quality music.
This time, the new lead single discusses wanting to get to the bottom of the truth about someone’s true feelings about a lover. Avoiding the cautious lies, the singer cooes on about the seriousness of the thought provoking situation. Its instrumental is based on dance with the classic hip hop breakdown entering the second verse. Demonstrating the vocalist’s tough tone, he spits some quick bars in a created rap section, boasting the track’s almost overbearing and on-the-nose feel.

PARK JIHOON ‘SERIOUS’ MV:
Watching the music video, the 22 year old wears mixtures of a classic denim look, leather, casual suits and the bad boy black varsity jacket, showing his matured and attractive aura. He goes through various settings, alone soaked in the rain that end up with him laying on the floor. Broken down in his flooded home, papers lie across the timber. Reading “I’m sorry”, this ends with a solemn tone before a beam of natural sunlight streams in.
