Mnet and JYP Entertainment’s new survival debut show “Sixteen” will begin airing on May 5th.
On April 29, a press conference for the program was held in Yeongdeungpo at the 63 Convention Hall, where Park Jin Young expressed his thoughts on the topic of foreign artists in Korea.
The question came up due to the fact that the 16 contestants who will be competing for a spot in JYP’s new seven-member girl group are from Korea, Taiwan, Japan, and Canada.
In response to the question Park Jin Young elaborated on his personal thoughts on the latest issues regarding foreign idol group members.
At the press conference he began by saying that he believed that Korea was going through a transitional phase of trial and error with foreign members in idol groups.
He elaborated that it does not matter what someone does, if people share the same values with each other their relationships will become stronger. With this it is possible to prevent many issues that might occur with a foreign artist’s contract.
