The long legal battle between Park Jung Min and his former agency CNR Media has finally come to an end.
Back in July of 2012, Park Jung Min first won his suit against CNR Media on the cancellation of his contract. The agency, however, did not comply to the order to pay all that was due to the singer. This led Park Jung Min to demand 200 million won in compensation in a new case against the agency.
Even though the justice department suggested the two parties to reach an agreement, CNR Media did not accept it and objected to the need to pay the singer. The agreement was reached during the third meeting that was held on May 22nd.
Yamaha A&R, Park Jung Min′s current agency, stated, “Park Jung Min accepted the advice of the adviser and came to understand CNR Media′s poor financial status. He thus agreed to receive an amount that could be paid by his former agency.”
Attorney of Park Jung Min commented, “We weren′t aiming for the money in the compensation case. We just wanted to clear up all ties with the former agency. We reached an agreement so that all legal ties would be cleared, letting Park Jung Min concentrate on his current activities.”
Park Jung Min has managed to cut all ties with his former agency, as well as all responsibilities related to the contract.
