Park Si Hoo: Is his Career Over?

On this past Valentine’s day, it was reported that Park Si Hoo, his friend ‘K‘ and a woman dubbed ‘A‘ went to a bar for some drinks. At approximately 11 pm, they arrived at the bar and went into a private room. At around 1:50 AM, the three of them left the bar and went to Park’s home. It was reported that they all fell asleep at his place at around 2:10~2:20 AM. ‘K’ left at 1PM the next day, and later ‘A’ exited his home at around 3PM. ‘K’ and ‘A’ kept in touch, talking about what had happened that night. After ‘A’ talked with her friend ‘B‘, she decided to go to the police. That day, she went to the police station and reported that she had been raped by Park Si Hoo. She was then taken to a women’s center where she went to receive blood and urine tests. Tests only showed traces of Park Si Hoo in her tests, which complies with both parties alibis. Park Si Hoo contests that the sex that night was consensual. It has been reported that Park Si Hoo offered ‘A’ $100000 as a settlement to end the case, but she refused and asked for more, which is when negotiations to end the case halted. There is also a scandal involving ‘B’, who was said to be working with Park’s former agency, EYAGI Entertainment to bring him down. They are filing and injunction against Park, who is also filing against both parties for defamation of character, false accusations, and attempted blackmail. This scandal, whether it turns out that Park Si Hoo is innocent or not, will leave a mark on both parties’ reputations. If he is found innocent, he will still be tagged with being accused of rape, and if he is charged, legal punishment will follow. In the case of ‘A’, whether what she claims happened happened or not, she is marked either way. She will either be seen as a rape victim, or a liar.
