On October 7th, rookie girl group PIXY released the music video to their title track, ‘Addicted’. The song comes off their simultaneously dropped 2nd mini album, ‘Fairy Forest: Temptation’. Comprising of 9 tracks, the EP includes English versions of the new songs. There is also a track solely dedicated to the group’s fans, ‘Still With Me’. This mini album marks the ALLART Entertainment act’s comeback in May with their 1st EP, ‘Fairy Forest: Bravery’. Continuing with the Fairy Forest album series, the group look to solidify their dark and creepy concept with this third release overall.
Lyrically, the title track discusses the feelings of becoming consumed and addicted with the feelings of love. It takes on a focus on rap within the verses. With brash yet assured tones, the transition to the melodic pre-chorus and the edited deep monster-like vocals create an atmosphere fit for the Halloween season. The chorus explodes with a heavy muffled beat drop to take listeners out with a punch.

PIXY ‘ADDICTED’ MV:
Like many 4th generation groups, the music video is performance heavy. Beginning with someone buried under soil, we see them raise from the dead. There are references to flowing blood throughout the video, signifying the addiction and consuming message of the track. The choreography here is high-impact with wicked sets. With sharp and large movements, the girls even get on the floor during the chorus, stretching the performance from eye level to the ground. The video returns to the person now re-buried in the soil, with their eyes opening at the last second before the MV blanks out.
PIXY‘s 2nd mini album, ‘Fairy Forest: Temptation’, featuring the title track, ‘Addicted’ is available now!
