With many K-pop artists recently having incidents with members leaving the group or disbanding entirely, it is hard to avoid thinking the worst when the next group’s time is up. Recently, as their contracts approach an end, girl group 4Minute prepares to make final decisions on whether to renew their contracts or not with long-time agency, Cube Entertainment. While not officially stated by the company, the girls are assumed to be disbanding as they speak out about different interests in the entertainment industry besides singing.
It is confirmed that member and rapper Kim Hyuna has renewed her contract and plans to continue her activities with Cube Entertainment.
As for the rest of the group members, it is still undecided whether they will follow Hyuna’s footsteps or proceed to pursue their personal interests by any means necessary. Also stated by an industry insider, they agreed it will be difficult to maintain and keep the group going together as one because of each member’s changing plan for their future careers.
