Global phenomenon, PSY is set to release his debut international album in early 2013!
Shortly after it was announced that PSY had sign a deal with Scooter Braun‘s music label Schoolboy Records, it was also announced that PSY intended to release a half English, half Korean international album. It was originally intended to be released in November, but has been delayed.
PSY who is currently promoting in France, released this statement at a press conference: “I am currently working to release a new album to the entire world by February or at the latest, March of next year.”
“The album will be in both Korean and English, and it will be a worldwide debut album that will be released simultaneously all over the world. I was really touched that my French female fans sang really well in Korean. I’m Korean, so I tried hard to keep the Korean in my song.”
Over the years, quite a few Asian music artists such as Utada Hikaru and BoA have tried to break into the American music industry with very little success and few have entered the international music industry. But thanks to the astounding success and popularity of “Gangnam Style” many believe that PSY will not disappoint.
How do you think the world will react to PSY’s upcoming international album?
