Definitely not your typical fourteen year old, Punch has come back as a solo artist and taking his career by storm. With a more mature sound, Punch teamed up with American rapper, Silento, for his new single ‘Spotlight’.
Under Brave Entertainment, Punch is suave and fluid as he moves around the dance practice room with six backup dancers to his new hit. With a more R&B feel, ‘Spotlight’ is completely in English and gives off a more American pop track sound like Justin Bieber or Nick Jonas.
This new track marks the return of Punch since 1Punch disbanded with the label move of One from Brave to YG Entertainment. Letting that not discourage him, Punch reassured fans he would be back and he has kept that promise. Turning heads in both Korea and America, ‘Spotlight’ can possibly bridge the gap between the two countries if more collaborations like this are in the future.
I really liked this new track. It was catchy and Punch’s more mature sound is sure to take him higher in his career. Though he is young, he performs like he has been doing it as long as the older idols. Did you enjoy seeing his choreography? Tell us what you thought.
