The Produce 101 project group has released its first song!
RAINZ is a seven member project group formed by Seo Sung Hyuk (WH CREATIVE, ranked 31st in Produce 101), Hong Eun Ki (GON Entertainment, ranked 38th), Byun Hyun Min (K-Tigers Entertainment, ranked 45th), Kim Sung Ri (C2K Entertainment, ranked 47th), Lee Ki Won (2Y Entertainment, ranked 53rd), Joo Won Tak (2ABLE Company, ranked 62nd), and Jang Dae Hyun (OUI Entertainment, ranked 83rd).
Ahead of their official debut in October, the members of RAINZ have lent their voices to the OST of MBC‘s new drama Hospital Ship with the track ‘Let It Go, Let It Be‘.
Take a listen below!
‘Let It Go, Let It Be‘ has the hallmarks of a classic OST song, combining just the right amount of optimism and nostalgia. The track is carried by a driving drumbeat, and the rock-influenced melody is reminiscent of a road trip with friends.
‘Let It Go, Let It Be‘ allows RAINZ‘s vocalists to showcase their stable voices, whilst also allowing its rappers to shine in a fluid rap verse. Members Byun Hyun Min and Seo Sung Hyuk wrote the rap section for the track.
RAINZ was created in mid-August on the back of discussions between the seven members’ agencies. The group’s name means ‘RApturously INspiring boyZ’, and shows the desire of all the members to be an inspiration for their fans.
Are you looking forward to RAINZ official debut later this year?
