For those who expected things to be still tense between Bobby and the idols he referred to on the song “Come Here“, it seems that at least with Rap Monster, things are as good as possible.
If you don’t remember, the whole incident started when Bobby featured Masta Wu‘s song, in which part of his lyrics seemed to be referring to some idol-rappers such as Rap Monster, M.I.B.‘s Sims and VIXX’s Ravi. All of rappers replied to Bobby, Ravi with his song “Diss Hater“, Sims with a Soundcloud-released track and Rap Monster with suspicious lyrics on his “MAMA” stage.
Recently, though, the leader of BTS shared his feelings about the situation, by saying that it was not exactly an actual battle, but more like if they were boxers and had exchanged jabs.
He also said that he had no intention on replying Bobby with another diss track, but rather a feedback. He shared, “Rappers can express what they want to say through their raps. They know how to put how they feel into figures of speech. I just put my thoughts and feelings into the song.”
He continued, “If it was diss, it would’ve been more direct and aggressive. There was a jab my way, so I sent one back. If there was an uppercut, there might have been a problem, but it’s not like we have bad feelings to each other.”
Rap Monster confessed to having felt better after replying to Bobby, “Since we’re not going to grab each other’s throats and fight, we gain a lot from something like this. After the feedback, I had absolutely no regrets. I think I expressed myself well within the boundaries I had.”
He also assured fans that there are no hard feelings between he and Bobby, by saying “After the ‘MAMA’ stage when BTS was walking off stage and Bobby was getting on stage, we met. He referred to the part I did and told me I did well. I told him that he did well, too, and we high-fived each other. But we’re actually not that close, haha.”
It’s good to see that at least one of the stressful situations that happened in 2014 had been worked out. We surely want our idols to get along well, and it’s cool that both Rap Monster and Bobby dealt professionally with their situation.
