Red Velvet are ready for their first comeback with a five-member formation brought by their new addition, Yeri.
The teaser for their upcoming song, “Ice Cream Cake,” already raised everyone’s expectations with a Tim Burton-like melody and scenes that were shoot in California. But the girls weren’t done yet, and to leave us all even more excited, the girls have dropped a pre-release music video for another song off their album, “Automatic.”
In the video, the girls show a more mature side that is much more similar to their comeback song “Be Natural” than to their debut song, “Happiness.” Despite their young age, they manage to act like strong and sexy women as they execute an elegant choreography. Check it out:
I personally think this kind of music doesn’t fit Red Velvet’s young and fresh concept, but since they’ll apparently show a cuter concept in “Ice Cream Cake,” it’s cool to have this jazz-like track in the album for a change, showing that they can adapt to any concept.
Red Velvet will release their first ever mini-album along with their comeback music video for “Ice Cream Cake” on March 18th, so stay tuned to Officially Kmusic to check it out!
