As we previously shared with you, g.o.d have made their return to the music scene with the release of their first single in over eight years, “Ugly Duckling.” Despite the song immediately shooting to the top of real time music charts, g.o.d will not be promoting the song on broadcast.
With only the dates for their 15th anniversary concert schedule being released, July 12th and 13th at Jamsil Reserve Stadium, g.o.d have decided that in respect for the victims and their families of the Sewol Ferry accident they will not be promoting their long awaited comeback album.
A representative from their label, Sidus HQ, stated “It would be nice for g.o.d. to carry on with promotional activities but we’ve decided not to since the whole nation has fallen into grieving due to Sewol ferry.” The representative also commented, “We are thankful for the enthusiastic response for ‘Ugly Duckling.’ We are currently discussing different ways for g.o.d. to meet with the fans without promoting on broadcast.”
