Upcoming rookie girl group, Purplay, is already gaining attention for their recently-released video teaser, however, not the kind they would want.
After the release of their music video teaser for their debut track “Love and Remember,” the public has found similarities between the choreography the girls have displayed the choreography of America’s Best Dance Crew‘s previous winner I.aM.mE.
It seems that I.aM.mE crew member Di Moon Zhang also realized, as he reprimanded, “this kpop group just bite all my crew shit , come on,” and linked the video to Purplay’s music video teaser.
On the video, there is a comment made by Brandon Harrell, another member of I.aM.mE: “On behalf of I.aM.mE I would just like to clear things up. We DO NOT HATE these women. We have no idea WHO’S idea it was to use our choreography for this group. All we see is the product. Every single move in that video is ours. Not just one. If you look at or ABDC week 1,8 and 9 you’ll see. If there was a choreographer behind this then he/she is to blame along with the company but we don’t know that for sure because no statements have been released. All we look for is credit for our hard work or for us to be paid for what we came up with. So we aren’t blaming this situation on these women until we know for sure if they had a choreographer involved. But until we know for sure, we go by what we see. Have a great day!”
