Rookie group ZPZG makes their debut with “Go Crazy“! They are so freshly debuted that there is little information available about the group so let’s just get right to the video!
The song itself is also good. It is up beat with elements of techno and house music making it a song that is fun and easy to dance to. The song has a simple yet catchy chorus “Driving me crazy.” It is about a guy who meets a girl, and goes crazy with the feels after meeting her. I liked the choreography in the music video a lot, in fact I would say that this is some of the most demanding choreo I have seen a rookie group perform in a long time. Since the editing in a video can make people look look like better (or worse dancers) than they are, I looked for a live performance to make sure that they were that good. The live performance proved that what is in the video is not edited for the good parts, they really are good dancers!
One thing that ZPZG has going for them is that they are very high energy and don’t really have any rest during the performance. The rest of the music video is a little goofy and funny neither of which is necessarily a bad thing. Also, as a bonus, they are a very adorable band. However, when you add in all K-Pop standard lip rubbing , hip thrusts, ad body rolling and the like, the video quickly becomes just standard K-Pop fare.
All in all, I enjoyed both the song and music video. I hope these guys release a more music because I am interested to see how they will grow , if they’re this good in their debut video, the possibilities for them are truly endless.
