Roy Kim kept his promise by donating his prize money from winning ‘Superstar K4.‘
It has been revealed that out of his prize money worth 500 million won (~$448,800 USD) minus the 200 million won (~$179,500) invested into his album production, he donated 300 million won (~$269,300) to 20 organizations including Good Neighbors, Korean Childhood Cancer Center, Yu Jae Ha Music Scholarship Foundation, Korean Alliance for Prevention of Cruelty to Animal (KAPCA), and the Purme Foundation.
CJ E&M revealed on the 24th, “Starting this past May, [Roy Kim] donated to various charity organizations. He also donated 20 million won (~$18,000 USD) which he raised from his fan meeting with 700 fans yesterday. He plans to continue to take part in meaningful deeds.”
Roy Kim has left for the States on the 25th and will begin his semester at Georgetown University this September.
