Sehun’s Lisp Finally Debunked

A lisp is a common speech defect, which can be caused by a small amount of reasons. It can affect just about anyone, even a K-Pop idol.

One such idol is the well known singer, Oh Sehun of EXO. Since before debut, Sehun has suffered from a minor lisp, that has been at the center of a large array of jokes over the past few years.

Turns out, our beloved maknae has been using a lingual crib, which prevents the tongue from pushing past a certain point in the mouth.  For those who don’t know, a lingual crib is a wire orthodontic appliance, placed in a position lingual to the maxillary incisors, to help a child overcome the habits of thumb sucking and tongue thrusting.

Tongue thrusting is quite common, and can be the cause of many teeth formation defects. When it comes to Oh Sehun, thumb sucking can never be completely ruled out. 

Whatever the matter, we are all glad that it isn’t something more impertinent. Fans across the globe have expressed their concern, and voiced their apologizes for teasing EXO‘s fun loving maknae for his randomized lisping. Lingual cribs are known to hurt on occasion, so let’s hope Mr. Oh hasn’t suffered much pain.
