SEVENTEEN have released the music video to their first English single, ‘Darl+ing’. Debuting in 2015, the boy group have broadened and built their solid Carat fanbase. Solidified in South Korea, the fandom has substantially grown with international support again particularly after the group’s label;, ‘Pledis Entertainment, became a subsidiary of HYBE Labels.
This English single brings the group to a mature yet lightly toned track backed by a catchy and simple melodic chorus. A day after release, the song has topped the Worldwide iTunes Chart, as well as debuting at #84 on the domestic Melon Daily Chart.
Its music video mostly follows a similar approach, seeing the members enjoy their in the country, spending time under the sunlight. However, it takes a rapid dark turn during the final chorus when a solar eclipse occurs and the boys don all black. The area which they used to enjoy, becoming a desolate shell of its former self. The group is expected to have a Korean comeback in the next month and fans believe this may be a connection and hint towards a return to the dark concept for their next release.
