After years of waiting, it seems like fans will finally be able to listen to Pledis Entertainment‘s upcoming boy-group Seventeen.
The name of the group was given by their fans during this year as a nickname for the seventeen trainees that were preparing to debut and kept having the official date postponed time and time again. The formation has been reduced to thirteen members, but it seems like Pledis will be keeping Seventeen as its official name.
The fans got to know the boys during their two training years through their program “Seventeen TV” and even though the group hasn’t debuted yet, they already have humongous fan-bases from all over the world, which surely guarantees a highly successful debut.
The official debut date has not been settled yet, but it’s said that it will be around April. Right now, the company is focusing on finding the best concept for the boys and working on the promotion of their debut. There are also rumors that they will be divided in three units that will promote the group in South Korea, China and Japan.
Seventeen surely have everything they need for a successful debut, so let’s hope everything works out for them this year!
