SEVENTEEN has made their Japanese comeback! They will be releasing their first Japanese single ‘Happy Ending‘ officially on May 29th, but the MV was released on May 17th. Check it out below!
‘Happy Ending’ MV:
The song is mellow yet upbeat – it is definitely more mellow than their previous Japanese song ‘Call Call Call!‘. However, the concepts are similar as this MV features many flashy cars. The settings are interesting as there are neon lights and cassette tapes. The lighting is also somewhat dark, matching the mellow mood of the song. As usual, the choreography and dance moves go with the lyrics of the song, something that SEVENTEEN specialises in.
Individual members have special roles in the MV. For example, Wonwoo seems to be part of the SWAT team. DK is a professional boxer. Dino is a reigning champion as he has a lot of trophies. Vernon is a racer. Overall, this comeback highlights everything that the group is good at – vocals, rap and especially their synchronised dancing.
Previously, SEVENTEEN had made their Japanese debut on May 30th of last year with the fun and catchy song ‘Call Call Call!‘ which had a biker concept, featuring motorcycles and leather jackets. Stay tuned!
